Looking for classic trad lines in Eldorado Canyon SP, multi-pitch alpine routes in "The Park" or maybe you want to get scared in the Black Canyon? Or perhaps you want to climb some ice or work on some mixed, nasty stuff? Hopefully you'll find it here on the most comprehensive climbing database on Colorado.
Areas are grouped, in general, geographically to their nearest major town to help you locate climbing areas and plan your trips. Local info, such as, where to stay, good places to eat, brew pubs etc. have been added as well to make your stay more enjoyable. If you can't find the information you need, then go to the forums and ask a question.
Either search for routes by area and then crag via the menu to the left of this page, or use the search tool to locate routes by different criteria, such as grade and location. With approximately 5700 routes (and growing), hopefully you can find something to your liking.
If you are looking for specific types of climbing, like sport, trad, ice, etc., you can lock on to those routes quickly by using the show routes drop down box. It's located just above the select area menu on the left side of the page. For example, if you select ice, you will see all the ice climbing locations in Colorado. The number of routes is listed in bright red!
Or, if you only want the ice/mixed climbs, you can connect to the temporary collection of ice/mixed routes. Please give us feedback.
A new area we're trying out is a section on Indoor Walls in the state. There are some deals, some interesting features, and info for these walls for when you you're pulling on plastic.

American Alpine Club Founded in 1902, The American Alpine Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting climbing knowledge, conserving mountain environments, and serving the American climbing community. The library for the AAC in Golden is the largest public library in the country for climbing!
Access Fund Since 1990, the Access Fund has been the only national advocacy organization that keeps climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment. If you only donate to one climbing organization this year, please consider supporting the Access Fund.

LUMPY RIDGE, Estes Park, CO NPS officials at Rocky Mountain National Park have indicated they hope to open the new Twin Owls parking lot immediately following paving, they are shooting for Memorial Day 2007.
7th Annual Lumpy Trails Day at Lumpy Ridge, Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Colorado. The Central Rockies Section of the AAC will be hosting a trail improvement day at Lumpy Ridge in Estes Park, Colorado. This project is in conjunction with the Access Fund ‘Adopt-A-Crag’ program. A full day is scheduled on Sunday, October 14th. Interested persons should register early by emailing event organizer Greg Sievers at gsievers57@cs.com, or calling 970-586-4075. Only those registered will receive a free lunch at the work site and T-shirt. The group will meet at 7:30am at the Estes Park Town Hall parking lot on MacGregor Ave (downtown next to the police dept. and behind the library) where coffee and donuts will be provided. National park staff will supply tools and transportation to the trailhead. Volunteers should bring gloves, plenty of water, dress appropriately and are encouraged to stay for the full day (but part day help is very welcome). All volunteers in attendance at 4pm will be eligible for gifts and raffle items that are sure to please and thrill. A good turnout will prove that ‘climbers’ are good stewards of the land and considerate users but also proactive about our interaction with one of this countries largest land management agencies. This year’s goals include work on the badly eroded “Batman Rock” approach trail. In 2005 this event won the Access Fund’s “Adopt-a-Crag of the year award”. Be part of this energetic proactive event and the beauty of splitter Lumpy granite.
