Description 

The Rockfellow Group is the crown jewel of Cochise Stronghold.

Comprised of several large domes and spires, the Rockfellow Group hosts many of the areas most classic and stellar routes. The major formations of the Rockfellow Group from north to south are End Pinnacle, Chay Desa Tsay, Rockfellow Dome, and Bastion Towers. Two smaller, more detached spires rise at the south end of the group. Hawk Pinnacle to the west, and Lost Tower to the east.

This entire area is closed seasonally for raptor nesting.

Getting There 

The Rockfellow Group is easy to access from either the east or west. From the east, starting at the boulder in the road, head up the main drainage until it flattens out, head up a side drainage to the left, and then up the slabs until you can make your way to the saddle north of Rockfellow. From the west, follow the Cochise trail for about a mile, then drop into the main drainage. Follow the drainage until you are between Cochise Dome and Rockfellow.

This unique route offers a chance to take non-climbers on a unique adventure. Most climbers would be comfortable soloing this but a belay is a good idea for most.The crux is finding the correct entry into the dome. This route is immediately left of Abra / Knead Me, between the Rockfellow Dome and Chay Desa Tsay.
